It is a big honor to finally unleash a special project marking the fourth collaboration with our brothers at Light In The Attic: The Lee Hazlewood tee, just in time for Record Store Day now available in our shop. Approved with love by Hazlewood's widow herself, this tee was created in tandem with the vinyl release of The LHI Years: Singles, Nudes, & Backsides. I wanted to share some of the beautiful photos we shot of the shirts and some of our favorite Lee songs with you..
Special thanks to my dear friends Alison and Michael for modeling in these simply gorgeous photos shot by the always inspiring, David Black.
Check out an interview I did with Elle Magazine's blog about the project HERE.

It is a true honor to be compiling another mix of hope jams for my brothers at Bad Vibes here from Rotter Corner. Some to put on the boogie boots to, others to weep on your keyboard- but all from the heart. Oh, also there’s a 7 minute song about.. “buttz”. Many thanks to my wonder men Zach (Dublab.com) and Chris (Preservation Sound) for some of these whoppers that are always a staple play from our headquarters. Listen HERE
Check out the first volume HERE.
Hope it inspires!

Wanted to share this lil' film the dear gang at Urban Outfitters made of my work, peppered with a sweet time lapse of the Ace Hotel mural creation. (full article HERE) When this film premiered last week, the outpouring of warmth from friends, family, people I studied alongside, worked with, and folks I never met before, was staggering. All I can say, is THANK YOU.
Major gratitude vibage to my luvs at Dossier Magazine for this amazing piece written by the great Stephanie Tran HERE.
I am off to the desert now, but I wish you soldiers a magical year filled with some rad adventures and hopefully a dream fulfilled. Like Bill Cunningham says as he breaks down at the end of giving a speech about his career: "If you seek beauty, you will find it."
Peace Frogs.

I wanted to share a really special project for the fine people at Ace Hotel NYC,where I was able to spend the past weekend painting a full wall mural in Room 1122. God on a wheel, working on something for 24 hours that had nothing to do with a computer, feels pretty magical. As a former painter, it was a really reflective and important lil' journey to work on.

The image is derived from a desert landscape in Marfa, TX and inspired by the 1971 song "Never Make a Dollar That Way" by David Wiffen, a golden tune that always proves to be a meditative solo listen, best listened to amongst a long horizon.

We will have a fun video to post soon, but want to send some big gratitude vibes to Kalani, Aubrey, Joe, and dear friend the great photographer Jeaneen Lund, who shot the whole ride and threw champagne at me when I almost couldn't paint another line at 3 am...
The great Turquoise Wisdom had originally shared the Wiffen tune many years ago, so it is fitting to spread the word about his new FALL DOWNERS mix for our buds at Aquarium Drunkard. Hmm...wonder who did the cover art.....;)
Big smiles, hope you enjoy, and if ever staying at The Ace, do request the "Rotter Room". -eyebrow wiggles-

Hope this finds you well and turkey lurkey'd from the weekend.
If there's one thing we adore, it's our brothers from the great Light In The Attic Records, so it is a true pleasure to present our third tee shirt collaboration with those cats paying homage to: The Louvin Brothers, Satan Is Real! FINALLY! I tell you WHAT, it is pret-ty fun to design and scribble a tee shirt with such a ballsy statement + representing country music's finest white folk gospel'd opus (not to mention the BEST album cover ever). This is a project close to our hearts as well because our dear bud the great Jessica Hundley wrote the liner notes for the record which is now finally available to nab HERE.

Special thanks to Aja, Fred, and R + F chief photographer Hal Horowitz for the photos.
ALSO and as well..we here at R + F are feeling a lil jingle jangly and want to extend our gratitude for making this one of our most successful years to date. From now through December, buy 2 shirtz, type in HOLIDAZE upon checkout, and shipping is f.r.e.e. Beefhearts and Stevies back in sssstock. xo

"Mythical rock goddess and avowed sister of the moon, Stevie Nicks is the legend that just keeps on giving." -T. Cole Rachel for Dossier Issue 8
It is an honor to be collaborating with the great and important people at Dossier Journal on a limited edition tee shirt celebrating their cover star, the living legend: Stevie Nicks. I originally made the water color illustration for the latest Issue 8, which is out NOW on news stands and the vibes seemed fitting to take the tribute even further. It was a true pleasure creating this piece, listening to "Sable on Blonde" probably a hundred times, swaying and scribbling Stevie and her iconic style symbols that forever inspire. Well thank the stars, the sweet shirts are finally available here and via Dossier's site! Big thanks to refinery29 for breaking the gnus HERE.

The Dossier/Rotter and Friends co-branded shirts are limited edition, three color purple ink printed on power washed super soft pewter tees.
Photos taken by our hero David Black. Special heart thanks to Katherine, Skye, Erin, and Alec @ Dossier + Zumi and Brendan our amazing models..
xx

Hope this finds you well and if on the East Coast: SAFE. Just getting back here from 2 days of major 'caned madness. Stuck upstate in the Catskills with no electricity, cell phone, internets, and my trusty HAIR IRON. That said, with cookie monster eyes aside, we were there for a special reason-to celebrate one of my favorite couples, Margot (Foxtails Dj partner in crime) and Matt as they wed amongst a serious fantasy sky right before the storm conquered. The officiant had remarked about how we must take hard rain as a symbol of preparing the earth for new beginnings, adventures, and hope-a cleansed palette if you will. What a great totem for love and starting a new season with wide eyes. I wish that upon all you readers-deep breaths, new mornin' cup of coffee, big horizons= the reset button..THAT said, I wanted to share the Frank Stella inspired invite I created for the wedding which was also made into little bubble bottles which we blew rainbow blessings onto the happy couple with as they waltzed off the aisle to BADFINGER-duh. ;)

Can't talk about this affair without mentioning these. God bless Margot and her 70's glitter Louboutins...

I know, we have not been the most righteous on wisdom lately, but I am updating frequent vibes daily on our lil' TWITTER, follow us, eh?
Big smiles and congrats to M + M.

“Jimmy Ford is the baddest white man on the planet.” -Sly Stone
Tears! Super proud to finally release the Jim Ford tees we have collaborated on with the dear people at Light In The Attic records. As previously ranted, this record means so much to my heart. It is bad ass, wide eyed, foot stomping country boot cuts of the best order and I highly recommend owning this beautiful piece of vinyl in your collection. Check out the below and nothing but gratitude vibes to our wonder buds/models Ivan, Alison and my chief photographer of life, Mr. Hal Horowitz. The shirts are available as a combo with vinyl here and at LITA and as I'm sure you'll notice, it comes at a sweet low price.

More on Jim HERE.
Pipe puffs and funk.
